Croydon Tennis Centre Tennis Hot Shots Program

We have been fortunate enough to have Sam and her team of tennis coaching professional attend to conduct our school’s Tennis Hot Shots program for the last 2 years. The staff and students have loved how organised and well planned the program delivery is, the quality of activities and the fact that everyone is always participating. The coaches are very knowledgeable and well trained.

Looking forward to Sam and the program returning to Ashbury PS in 2015.

Dear Sam, Marcus and Cathy,

My daughter Nichole has attended two weeks camp with the mixture of multi-sports and academic courses in July school holiday. She has really enjoyed it and wishes to join the next camp. The camp impressed me of the combination exercise for her little body and brain too, plus the yummy lunch.

I really appreciate your programme. Wish more and more children join this camp.

Just want to say a huge thanks for the party last Saturday........

"It was simply the best kids birthday party we’ve ever had.

The setup was fantastic, the kids had an amazing time on court with Marcus & Sinead and the adults had a great time socialising and relaxing. Such a great atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend Croydon Tennis Centre to anyone thinking of doing something a little different from the more traditional home/park birthday party.

The best fun ever – for everyone."

“We recently held our 6 year old’s Birthday Party at Croydon Tennis Centre and were delighted with the attention to detail and fun time had by all- to keep 25 giggling 6 year olds thoroughly entertained for 2 hours is no mean feat!

The tennis coaches were excellent (and very patient!) and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the games played, food, drink, birthday cake and Pinata!"

My daughter Georgia, now 5 years old, began coaching at Croydon Tennis Centre in February 2010.

I am very happy with the approach of the coaches and management alike. The coaching is very well organised and structured based on the principles of the MLC Tennis Hot Shots Junior Development programme, so that Georgia gets the most effective training and learning during her lesson.

Georgia has picked this sport up very well, and her knowledge and skill set increases with every session. Georgia has great enthusiasm for playing Tennis and very much looks forward to her session. This is not only because of her enjoyment of the game but because of the way her coach teaches her. Georgia's approach and enthusiasm for the sport is a direct result of the positive and friendly approach of her coach James and the staff at Croydon Tennis Centre.

James has impressed me because he has developed a really good rapport with Georgia by enjoying a laugh with her from time to time without compromising the lesson or his professionalism. I asked Georgia what she thinks of her coach James, Georgia responded with "I like James because he is happy, funny, and a good teacher". Georgia enjoys talking about her experience at the Centre so much that her body language changes every time someone asks her about her tennis. Georgia with excitement recounts what she learnt and it is evident that she really enjoys her time at the centre.

My personal experience with Croydon Tennis Centre has been rewarding. Watching Georgia play the sport is exciting for me because it is special experience watching your child play a sport they enjoy and become good at. The Centre provides first class coaching and coupled with the friendliness and professionalism of the team will be the reason why I believe our relationship with the Centre will be a long term one. I have been referring Croydon Tennis Centre to all my family and friends and I highly recommend this Tennis Centre to anyone.

Every aspect was great - from the facilities (undercover eating area, kitchenette, grassed area for the little kids to play) and the organisation of the party itself (food and drinks for the kids, party games, decorations, lolly bags) to the tennis activities and coaches.

Dave and I loved the fact (as did the other parents there), that the children were kept busy, engaged and active in the outdoors for two hours. The coaches, Lionel and Marcus, were excellent with the 14 children, with the activities aimed at the appropriate level, and kept them interested and having fun the entire time.

One of the highlights for the kids, I think, was the water-gun fun to end the party - was a perfect way to cool off and then send all the guests home!!

This really represented value for money, as I have compared some of the other party options out there, and none can offer this kind of event. I have been receiving really positive feedback from the parents who attended the party, and most importantly, Henry had a ball. Who knows, one of those kids may go on to represent Australia in tennis one day!!
